Starring Barbara Stanwyck, Van Heflin, Lizabeth Scott, and Kirk Douglas
Directed by Lewis Milestone

Sam (Van Heflin) accidentally stops in the town where he grew up, a town that he hasn't seen since he left 18 years before. He meets Toni (Lizabeth Scott), a woman fresh out of prison, and looks up an old acquaintance Walter O'Neil (Kirk Douglas) who is now the district attorney. He soon discovers that his old friends, including Martha Ivers (Barbara Stanwyck), the woman with whom he had planned to run away when they were teens, aren't too happy to see him.

Martha and Walter are now married. She doesn't seem terribly happy or in love with Walter. She seems more interested in Sam and is concerned (as is Walter) that he has returned to town to blackmail them. Toni is caught of the middle of all this just as Sam is caught in the middle of the unhappily married couple.

A round table discussion with Bruce Timm, James Tucker, Dan Riba, Rich Fogel, and moderator Jason Hillhouse. It runs about 10 minutes. They talk about how the show came to be, some the challenges and missteps, and their favorite episodes from Season 1.

The Look of Justice League
4 minutes

Bruce Timm talks about how they created and updated the designs of the main characters from the comic books and earlier cartoons for Justice League.

Storyboards: The Blueprint for Justice
8 minutes

Dan Riba and Bruce Timm talk about the transition from storyboards to animation.

Thoughts

Bruce Timm looks different in all three of the features. In one he has very short hair and glasses. In the other two he has a full head of hair but no glasses. In one he has a goatee.

All three of the features can be found online for free.

They are all fun to watch. If I have any complaint it is that I wish they were longer, provided more examples, and were presented a little more slowly.

Teen Wolf (1985)

Starring Michael J. Fox
Directed by Rod Daniel

Scott Hampton's life is turned upside down when he discovers that he is a werewolf, a teen wolf, as it were. He does his best to keep it a secret from everyone but eventually everyone finds out when he changes in the middle of a basketball game. He is a much better basketball player when he is hairier. His ability gets the team all the way to the championship but no one seems to like him anymore especially his teammates.

I don't know what to make of the movie. The plot is nonexistent. It feels more like a string of gags strung together, and not very good ones at that, than it does a movie.

UnReal 3.04

Confront

It looks like Passport to Dance, Jay's proposed show is getting the green light. Things never move that fast but in the reality of the show it seems to be the case. A couple problems arise over the course of the episode. Jay wanted Xavier, his boyfriend, to hosr the new show but Quinn wants Alexi to be the host. Guess who that fight? Later in the episode Jay finds out that Alexi likes to snort coke. His coke habit probably explains in part his wild behavior. Jay bribes Alexi with more coke after he loses interest in hosting Passport to Dance. Jay does not look like he is comfortable being his provider but he still does it.
