The Vegans attack during an air show at Sosokikahara. Kouji is in a propeller plane, demonstrating his flying skills at the time. The plane is shot out of the sky and crashes to Earth but Kouji (either miraculously or unrealistically) emerges relatively unscathed.
Danbei visits Dr. Umon's HQ. He freaks out when he sees the attack on the air show. He tries heading to Sosokikahara but knocks himself out getting on his horse.
Daisuke attacks the Vegans in Grendizer. He surrenders when Blaki threatens to kill his friends (Kouji, Hikaru, Goro). He starts fighting again once he realizes that Blaki has no intention of letting his friends live.
Kouji fights back against the Vegan troops and steals one of their UFOs. Grendizer destroys Dom Dom, the latest saucer beast sent to destroy him. The day is saved.
Thoughts
I love how the Vegns once again are set back by Duke Fleed and Grendizer. They must retreat once the saucer beast is destroyed. They seemed so strong, until Grendizer destroyed Dom Dom. Not great television but it is interesting to see how the show evolves.
