Amanda is alone. Everyone has left. She struggles to feed herself. She keeps hearing a bell noise outside. It takes her a while to find out that it is Uncle Jim. He is living in his van which is parked in the driveway. He's still angry at her for firing him.
Things get better between Miranda and Uncle Jim after she explains that one of her videos went viral. Uncle Jim decides that she needs to move to New York City so that she can appear on Broadway. They try to get Patrick's help but he refuses the roadie job they offer him. He's still emotionally hurt.
Uncle Jim finds another roadie. He isn't very talkative or young. Uncle Jim tells Miranda that he has secured funding for their trip to New York City. He can't fly with her because he is on the NO FLY list. He gets inside a large suitcase, naked. Amanda goes to the airport and attempts to get a flight to NYC.
The man at the counter gets nervous when he sees some of the things in her suitcase and calls security. She and Uncle Jim get arrested but Patrick vouches for them and they are released. Patrick agrees to be her roadie again but insists that they keep it strictly professional.
Bethany goes to a Bible themed museum. She tries to enjoy herself but eventually she realizes that she misses her family. The episode ends with her going to see Emily.
Good start, even if I was a little confused at the opening. I couldn't remember how the previous season ended and I didn't bother to look back at my notes. I still like the quirky humor of this show. It is both funny and sad.
