Where's My Mind

Arthur gets shot by Miss Lint's henchmen but the suit protects him. The Tick returns and fights with Miss Lint. He throws Arthur out the window. Arthur drops three stories, lands on his back, and survives. Miss Lint gets summoned by her boss and abandons her mission.

The Tick catches up to Arthur, who wants to return the suit. Arthur steals a poncho and puts it on over the suit. Some thugs stop him. He offers to return the suit but the Tick refuses to let Arthur do it and sends the thugs packing.

Miss Lint meets with Ramses, her boss. She has a flashback to a meeting she had with the Terror, years before. He gave her the bracelets she now wears, which help her to control her powers.

Moses (John Boyega) and his South London gang rob Sam (Jodie Whitaker) as she is walking home. They are attacked while the mugging is still in progress by what they soon discover is an alien creature. Moses kills it and takes it with him, showing it to anyone and everyone. Soon there are more alien creatures crash landing on Earth. 

Moses and his gang are out looking for more aliens to fight when Sam shows up with the police. Moses is arrested but the police officers are killed by aliens moments later. Moses, Sam, and Moses' gang work together to defend themselves against the aliens. They are also have to deal with High Hat, an angry crime boss whom they piss off when they crash into his car.

Mischief Mischief

The guards have their draft party. Luschek is voted in as the new league commissioner. 

Morello finds out that her cellmate likes to take care of rats, that live behind an access panel in their cell.

Fig talks to Linda. They figure out that there is one prisoner unaccounted for. Chang was caught, so it isn't her. 

Coates, Dixon, and Doggett continue to hang out. They are in a bar when they see a news report about Doggett being on the loose. She is ready to give herself up but Coates insists that they can make it to Canada and start a new life there.

Boss Grissom sends Jack Napier (Jack Nicholson), his number one guy, to Axis Chemicals to retrieve some incriminating information before the police get their hands on the documents. Jack gets there only to discover that he's been setup. Grissom wants Jack dead because he's been having an affair with Grissom's girlfriend.

The police surround the chemical plant. Batman (Michael Keaton) crashes the party at Axis Chemicals. He gets into a fight with Napier and Napier falls into a vat of chemicals. Napier survives but he is horribly scarred. His skin is now bone white, his hair is green, and his mouth is twisted into a permanent smile.

The Escape

(aka The Daleks - Part Three)

Susan meets Alydon, one of the Thals, when she leaves the TARDIS. She is surprised to see that he is not mutated as the Daleks indicated. He gives her extra medicine to take back with her to the city.

Susan makes it back to the city. The Daleks find both boxes of medicine. They allow Susan to take one box to her friends. The Daleks keep the other box.

The Doctor, Ian, and Barbara recover once they have taken the medicine. The Daleks dictate a letter for Susan to take to the Thals. She signs it with her own name which puzzles the Daleks. She explains that the Thals expect it to be signed with her name.

Then, the Angels Sang

The Arcadia finally encounters the main Mazone battle fleet. The Mazone first try to destroy the Arcadia by landing troops on the outer hull who attach bombs to the Arcadia. The troops cause some damage but they are for the most unsuccessful. 

The Arcadia is recovering from that attack when they are approached by a medical ship that is in need of supplies. Captain Harlock agrees to help them but when the ship gets very close to the Arcadia it opens fire. Captain Harlock moves the Arcadia away and opens fire on the "medical" ship, destroying it.

Road Trip

Tracy goes on holiday with Candice and Aaron. They don't want her to come with them but she comes anyway and brings Ola. They are going to visit Aaron's parents but when they get there they find out that his mother has just left his father.

Tracy quickly develops a crush on Aaron's father, which he does not reciprocate. Aaron's father makes fun of his son.

Tracy walks in and catches Candice and Aaron's father dry humping.

Ola spends most of the holiday with a gay couple that he meets on the train.

Caine (Tyrin Turner) grows up in Los Angeles. His parents are both dead by the time he is 10 years old. His grandparents, who are very religious, take him in. He chooses a different path in life than the one his grandparents are on.

Caine makes ends meet by selling drugs. He narrowly survives a drive by shooting in which a cousin of his is killed. Caine and O-Dog (Larenz Tate), his closest friend, get revenge for the drive by once Caine has recovered. Caine looks out for Ronnie and her son. Pernell, the father of Ronnie's son, was a friend of Caine's father and looked out for Caine after his father passed.

Chihiro moves from the city to the countryside with her parents. They get lost on the day that they move and wind up at what looks (to her father) like an abandoned amusement park. Chihiro soon discovers that there is more to what they have found. Her parents are turned into pigs after they eagerly stuff their faces with food from an unattended shop.

Chihiro is helped by a boy named Haku. He encourages her to get a job at a magical bath house that caters to other worldly spirits. She signs a contract with Yubaba, the owner of the bath house. Chihiro's name is changed to Sen and she is apprenticed to Lin, one of the human looking workers in the bath house.

Sen accepts her new role but continues to try and rescue her parents. She lets a spirit called No-Name into the bath house who causes all sorts of disruption within the establishment. She helps Haku to overcome his own issues which stem in part from the fact that he cannot remember who he was before he came to the bath house.

I'm the Talking Ass

Three correctional officers (Luschek, McCullough, Blake) start to work in the maximum security section of Litchfield. Luschek gets excited when he learns that there is a betting pool going for the prisoners.

Vause and Cabrera get moved to gen pop. Chapman, Flores, and Madison get moved to gen pop and wind up in the same block as Vause and Cabrera.

Nichols meets with her father and Michele Goldstein, his fiancée/lawyer. They try to talk her into signing a plea agreement that implicates Red as the one who murdered Piscatella. Nichols gets into an argument with her father and refuses to sign it.

The Tick (2016) 1.01

Pilot

Arthur Everest spends his spare time looking for The Terror, a supervillain whose actions led to the death of Arthur's father. Arthur is staking out a warehouse where some evil looking characters are transacting some business when he meets the Tick, a man dressed all in blue.

Arthur gets arrested for trespassing as he tries to escape the area. The Tick goes into the warehouse and wrecks havoc. Arthur is forced to call Dot, his sister, for help. He is waiting for her when the Tick shows up He is convinced that Arthur wants to be his sidekick. Arthur tries to convince him otherwise.

Arthur gets a ride home from Dot. The Tick visits Arthur at home. He has brought him a uniform, it is the only thing that survived the fire at the warehouse. He encourages Arthur to put it on and become his sidekick. Arthur refuses but after the Tick has left he puts on the suit and plays with some of the gadgets that come with it.

Arthur is still fiddling with the suit when the survivors of the warehouse fire show up at his apartment. They are convinced that he is responsible for the attack on the warehouse.

The Survivors

(aka The Daleks - Part Two)

The Doctor, Ian, and Susan look for Barbara. They find a radiation meter which indicates high levels of radiation are present and which also explains why they are all feeling sick. The Doctor wants to return to the TARDIS but Ian insists that they find Barbara first. 

They start to look for their missing friend and are captured by robots that glide across the floor. Ian tries to escape. One of the robots shoots him, Ian survives but his legs are numb. The Doctor and Susan have to help him walk. They are taken to a room and locked in. Barbara is there.

The robots or Daleks, as the Doctor soon discover they are called, interrogate the Doctor. He learns that they are at war with the Thals, a race of mutated beings. The Doctor theorizes that the item left near the TARDIS (in the previous episode) must have been medicine to help them deal with the radiation levels.

Captain Harlock (1978) 1.39

Heroic! The Commander Dies

The Arcadia leaves Earth and heads further out into the solar system. Commander Kiruta is injured but insists that he wants to help in the upcoming fight with the Mazone. He has a talk with Captain Harlock and tells him about his past.

The Arcadia encounters the Mazone fleet near Jupiter. Captain Harlock ordered the Arcadia into the asteroid belt. The Mazone attack. The asteroids make it difficult for the Mazone battle cruisers to maneuver and many are destroyed.

Orlando

Emma, Candice's nan, with some help from Candice, gets a date through an internet app. She was signed on as Candice so with some more help from Candice she gets made up to look a bit more like Candice. In other words, she dresses up in black face.

Cynthia confronts Ronald. She finds him at a local church that broadcasts its services on the internet. Ronald is not remorseful for what he did to Cynthia, in the first season. 

Tracey takes a job walking a dog, Orlando. The dog's owner is a photographer and after Tracey comes back from walking Orlando he wants to take pictures, dirty pictures, of Tracey and Orlando. Tracey leaves and takes Orlando with her.

The Phil Silvers Show 3.10

Cherokee Ernie

Bilko travels to Oklahoma with Corporal Charlie White Eagle to take part in a poker tournament. He gets pulled into helping Charlie White Eagle's tribe. Bilko is made a member of the Cherokee tribe, takes the name Bald Eagle, and negotiates with powers that be on behalf of the Cherokee. Things seem to be going in favor of Bilko and the Cherokee until the authorities discover that Bilko's negotiating strategy is based on faulty information.

Thoughts

Most of the humor in this episode is based on stereotypes of Native Americans.

This documentary feature is about the restoration of Vertigo (1958) and about the movie itself. It did not help me to understand Vertigo much better than I already did. The most interesting parts may have been the part where they talked about the clothes that Kim Novak wore in this movie and the reveal that Novak was not the original choice to play the part of Madeleine.

Shanghai Lily (Marlene Dietrich) and Captain Donald Harvey (Clive Brook), former lovers who find themselves in proximity to one another for the first time in five years, are two of the passengers. Chang, one of the other passengers and the leader of a rebel army who hopes to overthrow the Chinese government. Chang takes the train hostage.

Look Out for Number One

Linda finally gets out of prison. She spends four days in a prison in Cleveland and gets her head shaved before someone finally realizes that she's been telling the truth about not being an inmate. She gets a promotion out of it and a big raise but only after she threatens to make noise if she doesn't get what she wants.

Cindy moves into D Block and quickly runs into Flaca, Dayanara, and Morello. They all wind up on a cleaning crew together. They have to clean C block. They see some shower supplies left unattended. They take them but later find out that someone spiked the shower gel with urine.

Nicky meets with her father and Michelle Goldstein, his latest wife who is also a lawyer. Things quickly turn sour between Nicky and her father but once Nicky finds out that Piscatella is dead she calls her father and gets him to return.

John "Scotty" Ferguson is forced to retire from the San Francisco Police Department after he gets injured and develops a case of vertigo. He hangs out with Midge, a friend and artist, to whon he was once briefly engaged. Gavin, an old friend of John, asks John to do him a favor and keep an eye on Madeleine, his wife, who has been acting strange. Gavin thinks that she is possessed by the spirit of her great-grandmother.

John takes the job. He saves Madeleine once after she jumps into the San Francisco Bay in a trance like state. He isn't as lucky the second time around and is unable to prevent her from jumping from a church bell tower to her death. John is cleared of any wrong doing but the death of Madeleine causes him to break mentally and he is forced to spend some time in a mental facility.

John eventually gets out of the facility but then he starts thinking he sees Madeleine everywhere. Is he still around the bend or is she still alive?

The Dead Planet

The Doctor, Ian, Barbara, and Susan step ouside to take a look around the area where they have landed. They don't notice that the radiation meter indicates high levels of radiation outside the TARDIS.

The Doctor and his companions take a look around but everything they see looks dead or petrified. They spot a city in the distance. The Doctor wants to investigate but Ian points out that it is getting dark. The Doctor reluctantly agrees to wait until the next morning.

Susan gets separated from the other briefly during their walk back to the TARDIS. She thinks that someone approached her and tapped her on the shoulder. The Doctor thinks she is being silly.

Lee is there on behalf of an international law enforcement organization who are trying to get enough evidence on Han to raid his private island. Lee has another motivation for taking the job, one of Han's enforcers is responsible for his sister death.

Tracey feels unwanted, after meeting Emma, Connor's girlfriend. Boy Tracy, Tracey's cousin, talks her into going to a party with him. Candace and her boyfriend go with them. Tracey's mother is planning a meeting for her church in the community where she lives but gets some push back from the local government. The party that Tracey, Candace, Boy Tracy, and Candance boyfriend go to turns out to be a sex party. Tracey is conflicted but decides to go in to the party. Things don't so quite how Tracey imagined they might

Thoughts

This was a decent episode. The part with Tracey's mother was the weaker part of the episode. I was surprised by how far they pushed the envelope at the sex party.

Connections 1.01

The Trigger Effect

James Burke, the host of this program, spends the first half of this episode looking at the Black Out of 1965 which affected northeastern North America. He focuses on people in different parts of New York City including a woman in a hospital getting ready to give birth to twins, people stuck on a subway train, and pilots flying a passenger plane that was approaching JFK International Airport. Electricity was something that everyone depended on and yet in a moment it was gone and didn't return for hours. How did people manage?

The second half of this episode looks at what Burke says is the device that changed everything, the plow. He begins this section by looking at a farm outside of New York City. He changes locations then and travels to Egypt where he talks about what led to the invention of the plow, thousands of years before, and what came from it.

The Vegans put bombs in swans. They test their latest plan by launching the swans, which they are able to control remotely, at jet airplanes and high speed railways. Both tests are successful so they decide to proceed. 

One swan (that has been fitted with a bomb) gets injured. Goro finds the swan and talks his father into helping him care for it. They take it to Professor Umon in the hope that he can help it, even though he is not a vet or bird expert. Professor Uomn tells them there's nothing he can do.

Replacements

Tracey's mother puts conditions on her moving back in. Tracey tries to fulfill those conditions and fails miserably.

Candice tries to replace Tracey with Cynthis, Tracey's younger sister. She gives it a go but it doesn't work out.

Tracey replaces Conor with Ash, a guy she meets while trying to hand out fliers for the church where her mother worships. Ash isn't open about it, at first, but he has a fetish for black women.

Thoughts

Jonathan Bailey played the part of Ash. I have also seen him in Crashing, where he was part of the regular cast of the show.

Swope brings a lot of African Americans in to the agency and puts them into key roles. He changes the way the company does business and the sort of clients it chooses to represent.

Bilko Talks in His Sleep

Grover and Ritzik win some money from Bilko after they overhear him talking in his sleep. Bilko figures out what happened and tries to get back at them. He fools them into thinking that he is about to die. They feel bad and spend all the money they won from him on a doctor, thus robbing him of the opportunity to win the money back from them.

Thoughts

This was an okay episode. It ended a bit abruptly, as is sometimes the case.

Virginia De Louse played the part of Gladys, a waitress that Bilko wanted to take on a date. This is her fourth and final appearance on the show. Her three previous appearances were all in episodes from Season 2.

Orange Is the New Black 6.02

Shitstorm Coming

Cindy writes a note that she wants to pass to Taystee, warning her that the guards are trying to frame them. She writes it as a word scramble. She loses it but Berlin sees what happened. Cindy meets with her lawyer. She tells him that she had nothing to do with the riot. 

Coates and Dixon go for a drive. Dixon is worried about what has happened and about Coates. Dixon doesn't know it but Doggett is in the trunk of the car. They stop at a motel and get a room. Doggett stays in the trunk.

Cindy get the flashback spotlight, back to when she was in high school. She was pregnant at the time by her high school boyfriend. Her father tries to get her to tell her the name of the guy who impregnated her. She refuses. She has the baby and then leaves her mother to look after the baby.

Mrs. Brisby goes to see Mr. Ages. From him she obtains some medicine. Timmy, her son, is sick. She needs to keep Timmy in bed for three weeks so that he can heal but the plow has come early and she needs to move her family or else they will all be killed.

Mrs. Brisby goes to see the Great Owl. He tells her to go see Nicodemus the rat. He tells her that Nicodemus and the rats will her to move her home.

Mrs. Brisby follows the owl's advice. She finds the entrance to the rat's lair under the rose bush. Down there she finds Mr. Ages and lots of rats. Mr. Ages introduces her to Justin, one of the rats. Justin takes her to Nicodemus, who gives her an amulet and tells her her about her husband, and why the rats of NIMH are indebted to him.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 5.01

Redemption - Part Two

The Enterprise goes to Starbase 234. Captain Picard talks Starfleet into putting him in charge of a task force that will keep the Romulans from interfering in the Klingon Civil War. Commander Riker is temporarily reassigned as captain of one of the ships in the fleet. Lieutenant Commander Data is put in charge of the Sutherland, another ship.

Data takes commend of the Sutherland. Lieutenant Commander Hobson, the Sutherland's executive officer, doesn't like Data. Hobson tries to get himself reassigned but Data declines to let him do that.

Worf serves on Kurn's ship, he quickly clashes with his brother. He is eventually captured by Lursa and B'Etor. They suggest that he should join forces with them, marry B'Etor, and help to teach Toral, the son of Duras.
