I recall watching a few episodes of the original incarnation of The Twilight Zone when I was in my early teens or possibly when I was younger than that. I watched episodes of the 1985 version of the show when it first aired but as with the original show I'm not sure how many episodes that I watched back then.
The original series ran for five seasons. Rod Serling wrote or co-wrote all 156 episodes of the original series. Most of the episodes had a science fiction angle to them.
The Time Element, the first science fiction script of Serling's that was made it to television, predated the Twilight Zone by about a year. Prior to that he also won acclaim for Patterns, a one hour drama that was later made into a movie.
Here are the episodes that I've watched in recent years.
1.01 - Where Is Everybody?
1.02 - One for the Angels
1.03 - Mr. Denton on Doomsday
1.05 - Walking Distance [F]
1.06 - Escape Clause
