I've been aware of Captain Harlock for a long time. I don't recall exactly where I saw pictures of it first. I may have even seen episodes of the original series from 1978 when I was a kid but I don't have any recollections of watching it back then.
There have been multiple incarnations of Captain Harlock but to date the only one that I have watched is the 42-episode, 1978 TV show. I first watched it in 2015. I talked about the first 8 episodes on DTC 68. I didn't make it much further than that back then. I decided to give it another try in 2020. I started watching the 1978 series for the second time in Oct 2020 and finished watching it in October 2023.
