Spike and Faye thwart a hijacking attempt aboard a passenger ship bound for Venus. Roco Bonnaro, who was sitting next to Spike had nothing to do with the hijacking but turns out to be a wanted man. Roco has a bounty on his head but he is also wanted by some mobsters who also have bounties on their heads.
Roco befriends Spike, before he finds out about the bounty, and entrusts something of value to Spike. Spike goes after Roco while Faye goes after the other wanted men. He discovers that Roco has a sister who is blind and that Roco is try to raise money for an operation to restore her eyesight. Spike is conflicted over what he should do. He catches up to Roco just before the mobsters do. Spike does what he can to deal with the gangsters but Roco is killed by one of the gangsters.
This episode. So good. So heartbreaking and so good. Faye, Jet, and Ein are in it but it is as I described, mostly a Spike episode. There's a little more to it than I described but that's it for the most part.
