Auld Acquaintance
Red Arrow is on the run from the Justice League who are all being controlled by Vandal Savage, Klarion the Witch Boy, and other villains using Starro Tech. Batman tells Young Justice to not go after Red Arrow. After Batman leaves Red Tornado stops functioning. The team of young heroes investigates and figure out that something is wrong with the League.
Robin, Zatanna, Kid Flash, and Rocket try to get Red Tornado back online while Aqualad, Miss Martian, Superboy, and Artemis go after Red Arrow. They find him in one of his hideouts.
Red Arrow is a clone of the original Roy Harper. He didn't even know it until just now. He was created by Cadmus and controlled by Sportsmaster using the phrase "Broken Arrow". Cadmus still has the original Roy Harper on ice.
Black Canary shows up at the Cave. When she sees the young heroes and what they are trying to do she attacks using her sonic scream. The four who stayed behind defeat her and then meet up with the rest of the team. By this point they have Red Tornado back online but in a secondary body which doesn't have the superpowers that his other one does.
Young Justice infiltrates the Watchtower, uses Cure Tech to counter Starro Tech. There are lots of good fights but not everything makes sense. Red Tornado is inexplicably restored to his own body. There is no real explanation for the Cure Tech. Some moments don't fully get resolved like the fight scene between Wonder Woman and Rocket, which just gets cut off before it ends. I think this story could have used another episode to explain or show some of these things.
I enjoyed this episode, this end to the season more this time around than I did the first time. I think that the first time around I was looking for a little more resolution. The way it is portrayed at the end of the episode it is just a minor setback for the villains. Vandal Savage and Klarion escape and they still have Cadmus, Roy Harper, and Bizarro Superboy. Instead what I got was a tease of what might be coming up in the second season. If they don't address those issues (most importantly the status of Roy Harper) in the second season I will be disappointed.
