Jupiter Jazz (Part 1)
Faye runs off with the money. Ed does some online searching for her and turns up something linked to Spike's past. Jet tries to argue with his partner but Spike takes off in search of Julia and Vicious (last seen in 1.05 - Ballad of the Fallen Angels). Spike doesn't have much luck searching for Julia on Jupiter. One person he meets tells him that someone named Gren might know where to find Julia.
Faye is also on Jupiter. She meets a saxophone player named Gren. He claims not to be interested in women. He helps her out when she's attacked by the same group of guys that also attacked Spike, earlier in the episode. He takes her back to his place. He's a little weird but Faye is relaxed until she hears a message come in for Gren. The caller is Vicious. She confronts Gren in the shower only to discover that he isn't exactly what he seemed to be.
Jet also visits the surface of the planet. He winds up getting a drink in the same bar where Gren plays the sax and where Faye met Gren. He sees on the TV that there is a bounty on Gren's head but he isn't aware of Gren at that point.
Vicious is on Mars to make a deal. He's there to pick up some Red Eye. I think it showed up in an earlier episode. He is accompanied by Lin, who like Vicious is an acquaintance of Spike. Spike doesn't bear any ill will toward Lin, the same can't be said about Spike's feelings toward Vicious. Spike's feelings cause him to misjudge Lin who shoots him.
This is a good one. It digs into Spike's past. It has the shocking reveal about Gren's true nature. I think this series probably would have been well served if there had been more two-part stories.
