Shoulda Tapped
Ray does a bunch of stuff. He helps a friend with whom he was sparring by helping to teach part of his class. He winds up getting put in a choke hold and passes out. Everyone is standing around him when he comes to.
Ray takes Brittany, his daughter, to school. She's having trouble with another girl who is cyber bullying her. Ray tries talking to her about it and about how to deal with bullies.
He hangs out with Ally. He goes to a ball game with Gary. Freddy needs some help so Ray goes to check up on a couple guys. Freddy hired them to kill someone but they have yet to dispose of the body. It's in the trunk of their car. They are nervous and busy getting high.
Ray calls Freddy and negotiates with him. They eventually settle on a price for him to help them dispose of the body and also the two guys. Ray steals a car and they load the body in the trunk. They drive out to the middle of nowhere. One of the guys gets chatty. He's telling Ray about his daughter, his brother, how he used to be in a band. He offers to teach Ray how to play the drums.
The other guy is in the back seat. He starts to light up. Ray tells him not to then jerks the car around and causes him to drop his lighter. The guy pulls a gun. He puts it at Ray's head. Ray crashes the car, on the passenger side, into a tree. The guy in the back is thrown from the car. The other guy is all cut up and dies from his wounds pretty quickly.
Ray gets out of the car. He sees gasoline leaking from the underside of the car. He sets the car on fire and walks off into the night.
Thoughts
The body in the trunk made me think of the guy that Ray killed on orders from Freddy who turned out to be the wrong guy back in 1.02.
This was a good start to the second season. It felt very inline with the first one.
