The Visitation - Part Two

The Doctor finds a hidden door and leads the others through it. They explore a section of the house that they had not seen before. They find some high tech equipment that looks far too advanced for 1666. The Doctor and his companions are interrupted by an android. The Doctor, Nyssa, and Richard Mace flee after Tegan and Adric are struck unconscious by the android.

The Doctor, Nyssa, and Mace find the escape pod that carried the android and the alien to Earth. The escape pod is large on the inside but most of the machinery has been removed. Humans who are being controlled by the alien approach the escape pod. The Doctor, Nyssa, and Mace find another way out of the pod.

Tegan and Adric are interrogated by the alien. Tegan tries to lie to the alien but Adric tells the alien about the TARDIS. Adric and Tegan are locked up but escape and try to find their way out of the house. The android catches up to them just as they are about to jump from a window. Adric escapes but Tegan is captured once again.

The Doctor sends Nyssa back to the TARDIS to work on a weapon that should help them deal with the android. The Doctor and Richard Mace go to the miller's house. They see the miller but he is being controlled by the alien and doesn't pay any attention to them. Villagers who are wearing face masks find the Doctor and Mace just after the miller leaves. The leader of the villagers proclaims that the strangers must be executed.

Thoughts

It was kind of odd how the Doctor abandoned Adric and Tegan so quickly.

The commentary track feels a little over crowded. The people on it (the four co-stars plus the director) frequently talk over one another which sometimes makes it impossible to tell what is going on or what anyone is saying.

There is a moment when the Doctor, Mace, and Nyssa are in the alien space ship where you can see out the door. What should be showing is the woods of the world outside the escape pod. What I saw instead was very obviously a piece of cloth that was painted with what looks like it was supposed to look like trees.

I like this episode better than the last one. Not everything seems kosher but its an improvement over Part One.
