Spellbound
Raven gets obsessed with a book she's been reading. She turns down offers to socialize with the other Teen Titans. Malchior, the hero from the book, is trapped within its pages. He talks to her and teaches her magic spells. She helps to free Malchior from the book only to discover that it wasn't the hero but the villain, the dragon that the Malchior fought in the pages of the book, with whom she was communicating.
Raven is quite clearly the main character in this episode. Her teammates are also in this episode but Raven is the star.
There is a secondary villain in this episode, Kardiak, who doesn't have any lines. Kardiak looks like a giant human heart. The Titans fight Kardiak twice, once in the beginning of the episode and again towards the middle of the episode.
Raven changes the look of her clothers from purple to white, after she has started to study with Malchior. At the end of the episode her clothes revert to purple.
For a moment I saw a parallel between this episode and the one where Robin thinks that Slade has returned. The similarity between the two episodes faded once it became clear that Malchior was real and that everyone else could also see and hear him.
Things were wrapped up kind of quickly in the end. A little too quickly for my tastes but I did enjoy the episode up to that point.
