Penguin Cam and Chill
Paige is back from Maine. Back to where, I'm not sure. She wants to keep things casual with Sam. He's confused, at first. Zahid tries talking some sense into Sam. He thinks Sam should lean back and enjoy the ride: all the fun with none of the responsibility. Zahid has an analogy about having a dragon for a pet but it doesn't connect with Sam.
Casey starts at Clayton Prep. Izzy, the captain of the running (or is it cross country?) team, is mean to her. Casey has a few misadventures on her first few days. The only person who helps her out is Izzy's boyfriend.
Elsa tries to patch things up with Doug but he isn't ready to patch things up. She drops by unannounced, changes her hair, and drops off a pan full of lasagna she baked. Elsa is staying at a friend's place since Doug banned her from living at home.
Sam eventually catches on to Paige's rules, which is good for him but bad for her. She decides she needs to set the rules asides but he can't abide her desire to do so. He just wants casual fun so she gives him the boot.
The title of this episode should have had something to do with rules. The penguin cam is in it but is doesn't play a major roll. All three plot lines have to do with rules. Casey is learning the rules of Clayton, Elsa is struggling with Doug's rules of their relationship, and Sam is learning to deal with Paige's rules of their relationship. As usual Doug is just somewhere in the midst of things but doesn't seem to have an arc of his own.
On the whole a good to very good episode. It wasn't "blow me away" great but I enjoyed it even if I didn't laugh out loud.
