Hard Knocks
Reed is attempting to help his friend, Bruce Banner, when he unexpectedly causes him to transform into the Hulk. Reed is knocked unconscious. Reed's teammates, unaware that Bruce Banner is the Hulk, start to fight with the Hulk. Reed clues them in once he recovers consciousness.
The Baxter Building is infiltrated by agents of Home Base, led by Agent Pratt. The forces fo Home Base attempt to capture the Fantastic Four but in the end settle for their original target, the Hulk, who by then has transformed back into Bruce Banner. The Fantastic Four go after Agent Pratt and the Hulk. They catch up to them in the desert.
I had no idea who Agent Pratt or Home Base were before watching this episode. It doesn't look like they have much history in comic books. I thought at first that they might be part of an agency of the US government but now I'm not so sure.
US Army General Thunderbolt Ross shows up at the end of the episode. He is there to take Pratt into custody.
The Hulk has fought the Thing on numerous occasions in comic books. I haven't read many of those stories. I have no idea if this story is in any way based on a particular comic book story.
This felt rushed. It lacks the sort of character moments that appeal to me. Maybe my expectations are just a little too high for a show like this.
