The police search the Latimer home and find a wad of money in Danny's room and some cocaine in his sister Chloe's room. Ellie asks Chloe about the cocaine. She says she was holding it for Becca Fisher, the woman who runs the inn. The police leave a liaison officer with the family.

Karen White, the reporter from out of town, tries to talk to a few people. Alec Hardy, Chloe Latiemer.

Jack Marshall, the man who runs the newsstand, tells Alec about a time he saw Danny arguing with the mailman. Alec and Ellie investigate the story but it leads nowhere. The mailman has an alibi and it checks out.

Alec finds an old cottage along the cliffs, near a car park. He gets permission from the owner to investigate. He has to get the keys from the cleaning lady. When she does to the closet to get the keys there is a skateboard in the closet.

Beth Latimer, Danny's mum, gets tired of staying at home and goes to the store. Everyone is looking at her. She maintains her cool until she gets back to her car. Rev Coates shows up as she is losing it while loading her car with groceries. She tells him that she's pregnant and that she has yet to tell Mark, her husband.

A guy who is working in the police station putting in extra lines approaches Alec and Ellie. He claims to be psychic and that Danny has been talking to him. They don't take his claim seriously but Alec decides that they will have to check him out too.

The forensic team finds a bit of blood in the cottage. They start to think that Danny might have been killed there. The place was cleaned recently.

Alec gets the CCTV footage from the camera that is pointed at the car park by the cottage. Mark is in the footage, late at night, the night that Danny was killed. Alec confronts Mark about it. Mark claims he was with a friend but he claims can't remember who he was with.

The forensic team also finds Mark Latimer's finger prints in the cottage.

Thoughts

Arthur Darvill plays Reverend Paul Coates. I have seen him before on Doctor Who (2005) and Legends of Tomorrow

I'm sticking with Broadchurch for now. There are a lot of things thrown out in this episode. It seems like more than one person has something to hide. A lot of things are probably going to get revealed in the course of this show. I like the two leads very much. Most of the actors are doing a spectacular job. If I had one complaint it is that there is just a few too many plot threads.
