Rick makes Morty revisit a bunch of memories that he previously asked Rick to erase from his mind. It turns out that there are quite a few of Morty's memories that Rick has erased. Here's a sampling of some of those memories:
1. Morty thinks he saw a man on the moon, not the man but a man, but no one believes him.
2. Morty and Rick get stranded in an alien's menagerie.
3. An alien asks Rick to kill him.
4. Morty gets possessed by an alien slug.
5. Rick kills a gentle creature.
Morty and Rick get into a fight after Morty has experienced several of the "lost" memories. Both of them get their memories zapped. They have to use the stored memories to try and recall who they are. Morty starts to notice a pattern as he views different memories of things that he doesn't recall.
This is a tough one to summarize. It starts off like a clip show, except the clips are from episodes that never happened. After Rick and Morty get into a fight and forget who they are things get better, not that they weren't fun to begin with. If this is not my favorite episode of the season then it is right up there.
