Your Mum's Got a Strongbox
A couple of guys steal the car with Ray still in the trunk. They take it to a chop shop. The owner tells them to come back later. He needs to look it over before he decides how much he's going to give them. They take the strong box they found in the car with them.
The owner gets spooked when he finds out that there's someone in the trunk. He drives it a ways from the chop shop, into a wooded area, dumps it there, and heads back to his shop. Ray gets out of the trunk and makes his way back to town in the car. He runs into the two guys who stole the car. He recognizes them because they are walking around with the strongbox. He follows them back to the chop shop.
Ray confronts them. They try to play tough but Ray is tougher. He gets the strongbox back and heads back to his car. Dave has caught up to him. He forces Ray to drive the car into the woods where they meet up with Davros. Dave is apologetic but Davros isn't too happy about how long it took to bring Ray in or the fact that Dave didn't tell him about the strong box.
Bobby brings the strong box over and works on cutting into it with a blow torch. Davros has Ray dig a hole while they wait for Bobby to finish cutting open the box. There's big explosion when the box is opened. Everyone is stunned. Ray takes advantage of the situation, grabs a gun, and shoots Davros, Bobby, and the other goon. He lets Dave go. Ray sticks around to bury the bodies after Dave has left in Davros car.
Thoughts
There is at least one detail that I found hard to believe. Ray has his hands zip tied together. He gets out of the trunk but his hands are still secured. In one swift motion he breaks free. I thought it was ridiculous but I've now seen YouTube videos that show how to do it.
The other thing that made me roll my eyes is the ending. It's almost sunset and Ray looks like he still has a lot of work to do to get the bodies buried. He gets a call from Ally. He tells her that he will be there in a couple hours. Realistically? No.
In retrospect I was a little surprised that Nick didn't show up in this one. I didn't even think of that until after the episode was over.
That was intense. Totally worth the ride. These last couple episodes reminded me of something out of a Quentin Tarantino film. Really, the whole season does. I'm up for more but as usual I'm gonna take a break and watch something else before I come back for season two.
