The Time Warrior - Part One
Linx, a Sontaran warrior, arrives in medieval England. He makes an alliance with Irongron, a rogue who seeks to gain more power. Irongron's first goal is to take over a nearby castle which belongs to Edward of Wessex. Linx' ship is damaged. He needs to repair it. He uses the parts that work to steal scientists from the 20th century to help him repair his ship. This brings him to the Doctor's attention.
The Doctor, before traveling to the past, meets Sarah Jane Smith, a journalist, and Professor Rubeish. The Doctor consults with Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, who is concerned about the disappearance of several scientists. Professor Rubeish is the next scientist to disappear.
Sarah Jane sneaks into the TARDIS, while the Doctor and the Brigadier, are talking about the disappearance of Professor Rubeish. The Doctor heads to the past, in the TARDIS, unaware that he is taking the journalist with him. She gets captured by one of Irongron's men and the Doctor gets to see Linx without his helmet.
There's a lot just thrown out in this episode. It doesn't all make sense. The villains are, so far, kind of lacking. I hope the story improves but so far I don't have a lot of hope. That's not a good thing especially considering that this story introduced Sarah Jane Smith and the Sontarans.
