Sergeant Bilko Presents Ed Sullivan
Bilko audtions for The Ed Sullivan Show's tribute to the US Army. He goes into a funk when he does hear back from them but then he lucks his way into a request to appear on the show. He shows up at the CBS studio in New York City and takes over. He changes all the plans and convinces all of Sullivan's assistants that Sullivan has done them wrong. Bilko gets Sullivan's righthand men doing his bidding until Sullivan gets word of what's going on.
Ed Sullivan and his assistants (Marlo Lewis, John Wray, Ray Bloch) all play themselves in this episode. Sullivan shows up in one more episode, towards the end of Seasons Two.
Colonel Hall is not in this episode.
This was a fun but not great episode. I did enjoy seeing how Bilko marched in and took over.
