Bilko hallucinates a conversation with his conscience and his ego. He thinks they are real until he relizaes that no one else can see them. Bilko goes to see Captain Adams, Fort Baxter's phychyitrist, who recommends that he get to bed on time, get up on time, and start living like the rest of the soldiers.
Bilko folows the captain's advice. Everyone gets suspicious of his motives. They start to think that he is up to something. Everyone (Colonel Hall, Master Sergeant Hogan, Mrs. Hall, the men in his platoon) start going to see Captain Adams. Bilko finds out about this and decides somethign has to be done.
This was a fun one. My favorite part was the conversation with his ego and his conscience. His conscience is short, balding, and wants Bilko to do the right thing. His ego has a full head of hair, is tall, and wants Bilko to live it up and not care about everyone else. I think I like this one so much because Bilko tries to do the right thing and it seems to screw everything up.
Bilko's Conscience was played by Stanley Simmonds. This is his only credited appearance on the show but I am pretty sure he was also in 1.16 - Hollywood in which he was the actor initially cast to play Bilko in the movie about Bilko's life.
Bilko's Ego was played by Robert Webber. This is the first of two appearances he made on the show. The other is an episode from the third season. He made appearances on lots of other TV shows including Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Fugitive, and The Rockford Files.
Captain Adams was played by Nelson Olmsted. This is the second of 11 episodes of the show that he appeared in according to IMDb. His previous appearance was in 2.05 - The Face on the Recruiting Poster.
