Hot Springs Planet Tenrei
The crew of the Outlaw Star travel to Tenrei. Gene goes to look for shells for his caster gun while the others enjoy the hot springs. He climbs two mountains in search of the ammunition. He meets two wizards at the top of Mt. Nantai. They tell him about the origins of the caster shells.
The wizards promise to provide him with two of the three rarest of caster shells if he will travel to Mt. Nyotai, where men are not allowed, and take dirty pictures of Urt, the third wizard. It takes Gene several attempts to avoid the traps and make it to the top of Mt. Nyotai. He meets Urt and gets the dirty pictures and the third rare kind of caster shell.
There is some nudity and plenty of fan service in this episode. The crew of the Outlaw Star spend most of this episode in skimpy swimwear. The search for caster shells seems to be the pretext for having an episode like this.
There is a would be assassin who keeps trying to attack Gene. He gets thwarted everytime he gets close. Gene spots him on more than one occasion but doesn't really pay him any attention.
It isn't exactly clear what the special caster shells do but the wizards do warn Gene that the will drain part of his life force.
This episode felt like an excuse to have lots of women in skimpy swimwear. The only other thing of interest in this episode was the story behind Gene's gun.
I'm going to stick with this show for the last three episodes but I'm doing it because I want to see it to the end. I'm not really enjoying it.
