The Day the Swans Came
or Tremble! The Day of Cygnus has Come
or Les cygnes (The swans)
The Vegans put bombs in swans. They test their latest plan by launching the swans, which they are able to control remotely, at jet airplanes and high speed railways. Both tests are successful so they decide to proceed.
One swan (that has been fitted with a bomb) gets injured. Goro finds the swan and talks his father into helping him care for it. They take it to Professor Umon in the hope that he can help it, even though he is not a vet or bird expert. Professor Uomn tells them there's nothing he can do.
Goro is in tears until Daisuke agrees to ask Professor Umon again to help the swan. This time the professor agrees. The Vegans launch a saucer beast at a nearby town. The bomb loaded swans land in the reservoir near the Space Science Center. Professor Umon discovers that the swan that Goro brought in is loaded with Vegatron explosives and warns the others.
Grendizer launches from Route 7, which comes out nowhere near the Space Science Center. Grendizer draws the swans away from the Space Science Center. Double Spazer, Drill Spazer, and Marine Spazer launch and head to the town that is under attack.
Grendizer deals with the swans by destroying them even though Duke Fleed wanted to save them. Grendizer joins the others and defeats the saucer beast.
Goro lets the swan that was injured leave once it has healed. It joins a flock of swans that are flying by the Shirakaba Ranch.
Thoughts
Lady Gandal shows up in this episodes. It has been a while since Gandal has transformed into Lady Gandal.
What's the deal with the swan that Goro found? Did the professor remove the Vegatron explosives or is the swan still armed and dangerous?
This is a little better, a little less chaotic than the last few but I still wouldn't call it great or all that memorable.
