Look Out for Number One
Linda finally gets out of prison. She spends four days in a prison in Cleveland and gets her head shaved before someone finally realizes that she's been telling the truth about not being an inmate. She gets a promotion out of it and a big raise but only after she threatens to make noise if she doesn't get what she wants.
Cindy moves into D Block and quickly runs into Flaca, Dayanara, and Morello. They all wind up on a cleaning crew together. They have to clean C block. They see some shower supplies left unattended. They take them but later find out that someone spiked the shower gel with urine.
Nicky meets with her father and Michelle Goldstein, his latest wife who is also a lawyer. Things quickly turn sour between Nicky and her father but once Nicky finds out that Piscatella is dead she calls her father and gets him to return.
Red gets a chance to talk to Berlin during an exercise period. Berlin gets her hands on the note that Cindy wrote for Taystee but then lost. She figures it out but it doesn't help her too much. Red finds out that Piscatella has been killed and tries to pass that information along to Chapman who misunderstands and thinks that Vause has been killed.
Red, Berlin, Chapman, and Nickels gets questioned by the investigators.
Red gets the message out that Piscatella is dead, thanks to Madison, her cellmate.
Berlin gets the backstory spotlight. The flashback is to her early days at Litchfield when she was in max and ran with a woman named Carol. Berlin double-crosses Carol, leads her to believe that her sister, Barbie, who is also in Litchfield stole her stash. Berlin turns it is to the warden who in return gets her transferred to minimum security section of the prison.
The episode ends with Berlin getting moved to B Block where she runs into Suzanne. On the way there she passes Carol.
Thoughts
Boo, Aziza, and Van Maele are also in the prison in Cleveland with Linda. I believe that this is the last time they will be seen on the show.
Taystee, Caputo, Coates, Dixon, Doggett, Flores, Ruiz are not in this episode.
This was a decent episode. There was a lot thrown out there. The episode lacked a focus but I liked the mix of storylines. How long is this investigation going to go on? I'm not sure how much time has passed but I think this season is moving a little faster than the previous one. It is interesting how everything seems to have been reconfigured since the end of the previous season. Its like a whole new show in some ways.
