Cherokee Ernie
Bilko travels to Oklahoma with Corporal Charlie White Eagle to take part in a poker tournament. He gets pulled into helping Charlie White Eagle's tribe. Bilko is made a member of the Cherokee tribe, takes the name Bald Eagle, and negotiates with powers that be on behalf of the Cherokee. Things seem to be going in favor of Bilko and the Cherokee until the authorities discover that Bilko's negotiating strategy is based on faulty information.
Thoughts
Most of the humor in this episode is based on stereotypes of Native Americans.
David White plays Clint, the leader of the authorities with whom Bilko negotiates. This is his third of four appearances on The Phil Silvers Show. He was previously seen in 1.21 Bilko's Rest Cure and 2.07 The Song of the Motor Pool. I know him best from Bewitched where he played Larry Tate.
