Money Talks... Maddie Walks
Maddie and David are walking down the street, after a meeting with a potential client that didn't go so well, arguing when Maddie looks up and spots some she knows, about to jump off a ledge. She goes up to the ledge to try and talk him out of doing it. She learns that the accountant who stole her money used it to help build a casino in Buenos Aires.
Maddie flies to Buenos Aires and goes to see Ron Sawyer, the accountant. He isn't very nice or cooperative. She doesn't get anywhere with him. David shows up and suggests that they use some of the money that Ron gave Maddie to spend on gambling. They play craps and several other games and win $20,000.
David is ready to leave but Maddie isn't satisfied. She wants David to play Ron in a game of stud poker, which he told her is his game. David tries to talk her out of it but she insists. The game doesn't go exactly as Maddie hoped it would. She walks away only $4,000 richer than she was an the beginning of the night.
There is no case in this episode. The only guest stars are the actors who play Ron and the guy who was getting ready to jump. About half the episode takes place in Buenos Aires. There is no resolution to the situation with the old friend who Maddie tried to talk out of jumping. There are no extras in the scenes that take place at the Blue Moon Detective Agency. The only scenes that take place outdoors are in the opening scene involving the potential jumper.
This was a decent episode. It had a few laughs and a kind of serious side to it too.
