Down the Rabbit Hole and Back Again
Kagome bathes in a stream. She decides that she should try once again to return home. She returns to the well. She is having second thoughts about descending into the well when Yura of the Demon Hair finds her. Yura senses the shard of the Shikon Jewel and uses her magical power to take it. She knocks Kagome down into to the well.
Inuyasha goes looking for Kagome. He arrives at the village only to find most of the villagers acting strange. He cannot see it but they are controlled by Yura. Kaede warns him not to harm the villagers.
Kagome wakes up at the bottom of the well but back in the present.
I wasn't expecting Kagome to return to the present quite as soon as she did. I assume she will return to the past again. I wonder if there will be a lot of back and forth between the past and the present?
The plot continues to thicken. This is starting to feel a bit monster of the week. I wonder if that is what most episodes are going to be like. There is an underlying story but it is taking its time to form. There is some talk about Kagome finding the remaining shards of the Shikon Jewel with some help from Inuyasha.
I'm still on board and not ready to give up or place the show on pause just yet. I want the show to round some sort of corner before I do either of those things.
