Every Potato Has a Receipt
I have no idea what the title refers to. Maybe I should watch it again?
This is it. This is the season finale. It is not a short episode. There's a fair amount of wrestling. The women even get to wrestle some men..
It opens with them planning the wedding of Britannica and Cupcake. Britannica is extremely nervous. Everyone else is excited. Ruth tries to work Zoya into the final show on the season, even with a broken leg, but Sam nixes that idea.
Bash is still mourning the loss of Florian. He doesn't know how to handle it and winds up handling it badly. He calls in a cleaning service to clear out all of his friend's stuff. His mood shows to others leading up to the big show. In the middle of the wedding he interrupts and talks Britannica into marrying him instead of Cupcake. The crowd goes wild and loves it but Cupcake is pissed and lets Bash know exactly how he feels. Carmen looks sad seeing Bash get married to Britannica.
Bash is clearly a man who is confused. He isn't comfortable. He thinks marriage is what he needs. Clearly he needs something but I don't think that marrying Britannica is the answer.
After the wedding a fight breaks out, a battle royale. It is part of the show. everything seems to be going according to plan until they are down to three: Liberty Belle, Sheila, and Machu Pichu. Carmen's two brothers (who haven't been seen since season one) show up at this point and join the fight. The women team up to deal with the men. They weren't supposed to be there, according to Sam's plan, but they made a deal with Liberty Belle after they accused Carmen of stealing their moves. The negotiation doesn't happen on screen but presumably this was part of it.
Lots of other stuff happens:
- Justine leaves with Rosalie
- Arthie and Yolanda
- Ray saves the day after Glen pisses on the group's parade
- Moving GLOW to Vegas
- Ruth and Russell
On the whole I am very happy with this season. It more than met my expectations based on how season 1 ended. It went places I didn't expect it to go. I enjoyed the spotlights that were given to characters other than Ruth, Debbie, and Sam. I wish that there had been more spotlights, as always, or that the ones they had lasted a little longer. I will almost certainly watch season 3 when it drops.
