Monster
Count Dooku turns to the nightsisters for a replacement for Asajj Ventress. He doesn't know that Ventress is still alive or that the nightsisters are helping her in her quest for revenge, since Dooku left her to die.
Ventress travels to the far side of Dathomir. She selects several men from the same race as Darth Maul. She tests them, killing them one by one until there are just two. They are brothers. She selects the stronger of the two. The nightsisters work their magic on him. They make him bigger and stronger. Ventress tests his loyalty and her control over him by commanding him to kill his brother, which he does.
Mother Talzin delivers Savage Opress to Count Dooku, who is very impressed at first glance by his new apprentice. He tests him by sending him on a mission to take a Jedi temple. Savage passes the test with flying colors.
This story, this three episode arc, is better than most but there is something about the way these stories are told that cheapens the Star Wars legacy in my opinion. Everything happens much too quickly, much too easily. There are no good character moments, in this episode. The deaths were a bit shocking but considering the pacing there was no time given to absorb the impact of them.
I think this show works best in small doses.
