Sportin' Waves
Alfred and Earn get taken, individually. Alfred goes to buy some more drugs to sell and gets robbed by the dealer.
The next day Earn and Alfred go to (what looks like) an internet start up that wants to help Paper Boi make money. It doesn't go well. Alfred isn't feeling it.
Darius comes through with the money from the dog that he and Earn bought to breed, last season, 1.04 (The Streisand Effect). He hands Earn an envelope with $4,000 in cash. Tracy, the guy sleeping on Alfred's couch, suggests he can help Earn double his money. Earn is interested and hands over the money. Tracy gets him a gift card with more than $4,000 on it.
Earn is able to use the card but after he makes his first purchase he gets a text from Tracy warning him that the card will probably be turned off in 10 to 20 minutes. He buys more stuff but he doesn't get $4,000 worth of stuff.
Tracy blatantly steals shoes from a store in the mall. The store has a no chase policy. He needs a pair of shoes for an interview but he takes several. The interview doesn't go well. He's told in the middle of the interview that there isn't any job.
Alfred and Darius look for a new supplier. They visit a couple different ones. The second one has a girlfriend who has recorded an acoustic version of the Paper Boi song.
Overall I wasn't crazy about this episode. Earn should have known better than to trust Tracy. Get rich quick schemes are bound to fail. This season has a different feel to it.
