Rick and Morty receive a summons from the Vindicators, a team of intergalactic superheroes. Rick doesn't want to go but Morty insists. Rick sabotages everything by defeating the bad guy the night before they are supposed to deal with him. Rick also sets up some not-so-elaborate challenges for the team to deal with.
All but one of the Vindicators is killed while trying to solve the challenges. There's some infighting along the way which accounts for two of the deaths. Supernova, the sole survivor, almost kills Rick and Morty. She is pissed at Rick.
There are some hints that Rick and Morty have met the Vindicators before but I'm pretty sure this is their first appearance on the show.
Beth and Summer show up briefly at the end of the episode. Jerry does not make an appearance.
This is a weird and wild one. I couldn't do it justice even if I described it scene by scene. I probably should watch this again. The jokes and references shoot by pretty quickly.
This show still feels very violent. Did I enjoy this episode? Yes, but it doesn't belong on my list of favorites.
