Hikaru and Banta go to Tokyo on a tour bus. Their bus gets attacked by a saucer beast (Dam Dam). The bus and several other motor vehicles get sucked into the belly of the beast. Kouji comes to the rescue in the TFO but it also gets sucked into the saucer beast. Duke Fleed and Grendizer come to the rescue but they have to be careful for fear of harming the hostages.
Professor Umon comes up with a plan to deal with the saucer beast. Duke Fleed and Grendizer execute the plan. They lure the saucer beast away from Tokyo and disable it by cutting off most of its limbs. This alone does not solve the problem. The beast starts to attack Tokyo. It destroys a number of buildings. The hostages inside the saucer beast aren't doing very well. Their oxygen is cut off and the ceiling, which is covered with sharp metal spikes, starts to descend.
Kouji manages to get everyone aboard a few of the motor vehicles. Grendizer continues the fight with the saucer beast. Kouji uses the TFO to push the vehicles containing people out of a hole in the side of the damaged saucer beast. Grendizer catches the falling vehicles. He attacks the saucer beast after he has safely put the vehicles on the ground. Kouji and the TFO pitch in and the saucer beast is destroyed.
Everyone returns safely to the ranch. Banta's mother insists on showering Kouji with kisses for saving her son. Danbei gives Daisuke a hard time for not helping to rescue Hikaru and Banta.
Thoughts
The spiked ceiling seemed to descend awfully slowly. I'm not sure how Kouji got anything done once the oxygen ran out. Why don't they ever show who is piloting or controlling the saucer beasts? Are they supposed to be sentient?
