Jack meets a wizard in a swamp who tells him a story about the titan Cronus. The wizard, who is actually Aku, leads him on a quest to recover the three gems of power that once belonged to Cronus. The gems were hidden on Earth. Each of the gems is protected by a different sort of trap.
Jack goes along with the quest without showing any awareness with whom he is dealing. Aku turns on Jack once they have acquired all three gems. Jack turns out not to be as clueless as he seemed. The samurai and the demon fight. Jack comes close to destroying the shape-shifting master of darkness but Aku escapes in the end.
Thoughts
I must have watched this episode before but I have no recollection of it.
