The Monster of Peladon - Part Six

The Doctor uses the Aggedor statue on the Ice Warriors just as they are about to break in to the refinery. One gets away but the other two are killed. The Doctor sends Gebek to rally the miners.

Eckersley finds out what the Doctor has been up to and decides to do something about it. He turns the security system alarm on in the Refinery, remotely. The Doctor are Sarah are barely able to think with the alarm going off. Sarah leaves to find Geberk but the Doctor stays behind.

The Doctor uses the statue of Aggedor to help the miners in their fight with the Ice Warriors. A couple of the defenders are killed but a couple of the Ice Warriors are also slain, thanks to the Doctor and the statue of Aggedor. 

Eckersley turns the power of the alarm up to the maximum. The Doctor is no longer able to function. Eckersley believes he has killed him. Azaxyr attempts to take Queen Thalira hostage but the miners overcome the Ice Warrior.

The Ice Warriors are defeated. Everyone is ready to celebrate but then Eckersley kidnaps the Queen. He plans to use her as a hostage to help him get safely to his ship. The Doctor uses the real Aggedor to track down the Queen and Eckersley. Aggedor attacks Eckersley. The two fight and both are killed.

The Doctor and Sarah say their goodbyes and leave Peladon.

The Monster of Peladon - Part Five

The Doctor survives the explosion of the sonic lance but Ettis does not. Sarah and Alpha Centauri are taken to the throne room and held prisoner there, along with Queen Thalira and Ortron. They come up with a plan to escape by distracting the Ice Warrior guarding them. They exeecute their plan but Ortron gets killed.  Queen Thalira stays behind to look after his body, but Sarah and Alpha Centauri escape and head to the control room.

Eckersley shuts off the air vents in the mine knowing that the miners will have to evacuate or suffocate. Queen Thalira is questioned by Azaxyr. She tells him that Sarah and Alpha Centauri went to join the miners. Eckersley and Azaxyr head to the refinery where they use the statue of Aggedor and some high tech gadgets to kill some of the miners in an effort to flush the rest out of the mines.

The Monster of Peladon - Part Four

Ice Warriors take over the Citadel and the mining operation. They claim to be representatives of the Federation but that claim is later proved to be false. They are there for their own purposes.

The miners attempt to rescue Gebek. The rescue attempt goes badly. Many of the miners are killed. Ice Warrior Commander Azaxyr is ready to execute the Doctor but he he holds off when he learns that the Doctor is the best hope he has for getting the miners back to work. The Doctor goes to Gebek and talks him into getting the miners back to work, which he does, but with the understanding that it is just to get the Ice Warriors to lower their guard.

The Doctor raises the temperature in the mines. Heat causes the Ice Warriors to get weak. The miners and the guards team up and attack once the Ice Warriors look like they are about to drop.

The Monster of Peladon - Part Three

The Doctor uses hypnosis to calm Aggedor into a peaceful state. Chancellor Ortron releases the Doctor and Sarah Jane from the pit but orders them not to leave the Citadel. The Doctor attempts to violate this order and gets caught doing so. Ortron has him locked up.

Sarah completes the mission that Queen Thalira gave to the Doctor. She contacts Gebek and lets him know that Queen Thalira wants to meet with him. Sarah also tells Gebek about what happened to the Doctor. Gebek offers to break the Doctor out and convinces Sarah to head back to the Citadel.

The miners get their hands on the sonic lance. Eckersley convinces Alpha Centauri to contact the Federation and request troops to calm the situation on Peladon. Gebek frees the Doctor. Together they go to investigate the room where Sarah thought she saw someone. The Doctor manages to open the door without setting off the security system, like Sarah did. An Ice Warrior comes lumbering out of the room as the door swings open.

The Monster of Peladon - Part Two

Gebek shows up just in time to use the sonic lance to blast a whole in the wall and free the Doctor from the cavern. Gebek offers to take the Doctor to see Queen Thalira by a secret route. 

Sarah goes looking for the Doctor when she hears about the cave-in and the explosion. She gets lost. She tries to ask someone who is behind some opaque glass but they won't respond. She tries hammering on a door but it sets off a sonic protection device which gives Sarah a splitting headache and unable to do anything.

Eckersley returns in time to help Alpha Centauri find Sarah. They are returning to the control room where Eckersley works when they are attacked by Ettis. He knocks out Eckersley and forces Alpha Centauri to open the door to the armory. He threatened to kill Sarah if the armory door isn't opened.

Sarah gets captured by the Queen's guards after she is seen in the company of Ettis. She is taken to the temple. Ortron is trying to decide what to do with her when the Doctor shows up. Orton forces the Doctor and Sarah into the pit with Aggedor.

The Monster of Peladon - Part One

The Doctor and Sarah Jane arrive on Peladon a place he has visited before. Peladon joined the Galactic Federation since he was last there, about 50 years prior to this visit. The Federation is in the midst of a war with Galaxy Five. The Federation is starting to mine trisilicate, a valuable mineral which would be very useful in the war. A couple miners have died under mysterious circumstances.

The Doctor and Sarah are accused of being the source of the trouble by Ortron, Queen Thalira's advisor. Ortron is ready to have them executed when Alpha Centauri, a one-eyed alien who was also there the last time the Doctor visited, shows up to vouch for him.
