The Killer Inside Me
Harvey Dent has trouble dealing with the aftermath of getting acid thrown in his face. He drops out of the mayoral race and stays home drinking until Bruce Wayne comes by and insists on taking him to dinner. Harvey's face is still bandaged up. He doesn't enjoy going out with Bruce. He leaves the restaurant, alone, halfway through the meal.
Batman goes looking for Harvey. He finds him assaulting a mugger. Batman is after the men who assaulted Harvey. He doesn't try to stop Harvey from shooting the mugger in the knee.
The police try to find out who attacked Harvey Dent, until word gets out that Harvey is on a rampage. They turn their focus, at that point, towards finding Dent. Batman gets to him first but Harvey loses him.
Harvey finds Tony Zito, the man who threw acid in his face. Batman arrives a little too late to save Tony. He's more interested in stopping Harvey, by this point. He finally catches up to him at Rupert Thorne's estate.
Thoughts
This episode was very focused as compared to some others. It is mostly about Harvey Dent going on a rampage. There are no side plots.
The police are not the main characters in this episode but they are in it. Batman is in it but I think Harvey Dent is the main character for this episode. In a sense the whole series feels like it has been building to this moment. That makes me wonder what will be in the season finale.
This was a pretty good episode. I enjoyed it but as with many of the episodes in this season it felt like a prelude to something bigger.
