Future Man 1.08

Girth, Wind & Fire

Josh, Tiger, and Wolf arrive back in 2017. Something is wrong. Scars that Wolf used to have are now on Tiger's body. Wolf now has Josh's penis and vice versa. They blowup the van which is filled with dead biotics, before they leave the future site of the James Cameroon Compound (JCC). The explosion starts a brush fire which starts to spread and quickly gets out of control. The trio are blissfully unaware of what they did.

Josh goes to visit Dr. Kronish. He tricks him into revealing his birthday and where he grew up. He also finds out about a failed romance in Dr. Kronish's past. If the romance had worked out he might never have started Kronish labs.

They arrive back at Josh's house only to find that Diane has been taken by the police. Gabe is shell shocked. The police found the DN-Yay kit which ties back to the DNA left at the scene of the murder in 1969. Detective Skaarsgard is unconvinced that Diane is innocent until one of the other cops tells him that the swab they took from Diane doesn't match the DNA from the DN-Yay kit.

Diane walks out of the police station just as Tiger, Wolf, and Josh are ready to storm the building. Tiger and Wolf go into the building anyway. They find all the evidence that Skaarsgard has amassed. Tiger and Wolf get into an argument and inadvertently reveal to the cops that they are the ones who killed Skaarsgard's partner in 1969. Skaarsgard is ready to arrest them when the Biotics attack.

Tiger, Wolf, and Josh deal with the Biotics and then attempt to escape. Dr. Camillo catches up to them. He wants to destroy them for ruining his life. He delays them enough that the cops start chasing them. Josh, Tiger, and Wolf escape into the area where the brush fire is raging. They jump back in time to 1985. Josh is the one who set the device. Instead of heading back to the year of Dr. Kronish birth he wants them to help Dr. Kronish's romance work out.

Thoughts

Good episode. I like the oddball references. That's not a knife. That's a knife. I love the moment where Gabe and Josh clash over their opinions of Diane's looks. I love how Dr. Camillo keeps inserting himself into the story and how Dr. Kronish keeps getting pulled into it. This story is very dynamic. I really get the feeling that anything could happen from episode to episode.
