Fleabag 2.03

Episode 3

Fleabag provides food for a small party that Clare throws at her office. The purpose of the party is to recognize the company's businesswoman of the year. Fleabag takes out the award while Clare is out of the room. It is made of glass. She drops it and it smashes into lots of little pieces.

Fleabag runs out to find a replacement. She gets back in time for the party. Clare just wants her to serve food but Fleabag can't help herself. She finds out that Clare has a thing going with one of her coworkers, from Finland. His name is Klare. The woman who is supposed to present the award gets sick, possibly because she was allergic to something in the hors d'oeuvres, so Clare has to present the award.

The award goes to Belinds (Kristin Scott Thomas). Clare opens the box only to discover that award has been replaced by the small gold statue that Fleabag stole from their godmother in the first season. Belinda leaves the party with the statue. Clare sends Fleabag after her to retrieve the statue.

Fleabag and Belinda wind up having a drink together. Fleabag tries hitting on Belinda, who has already admitted to being a lesbian, but the older woman is tired and not interested. Fleabag goes to see the priest. They wind up sitting outside drinking canned G&T. He knows what she's up to. He tells her he's not going down that path again. He sees her turn to the side to give an aside and asks her about it. She doesn't know what to say.

Thoughts

I love how Fleabag and Clare interact. I almost died laughing when Fleabag broke the award. The replacement was also pretty funny. The priest calling Fleabag out for turning away from him. Too funny.

I can only hope that the last three episodes of this season will be as good as the first three.
