She-Ra and the Princesses of Power 2.03

Signals

Adora, Glimmer, Bow, and Swift Wind head to Alwyn to find out what happened there. They think it might have been over run by the Horde but there is no one there. They arrive at night. It is very spooky. There's no one around but they see strange lights and start hearing voices.

Catra goes to see Hordak without being summoned. He is busy working on something and doesn't have time to talk to her. Catra starts to work on an invasion plan only to find out that the troops that she wants to use are under-equipped. She tells Scorpia to fix the problem but it turns out to be a more complicated problem to solve than she hoped it would be.

Entrapta can't find the tool she needs. She considers asking Hordak for the tool. Catra forbids her from going into Hordak's lab. Entrapta does so anyway. Her plan is to get the tool and leave but then she gets intrigued by what she finds in Hordak's lab. She sticks around and fixes his experiment. He doesn't get angry with her and they wind up talking about his plans.

Catra goes to see Shadow Weaver. She is still looking for equipment for her troops. Shadow Weaver tells her where to look for the missing elements needed to make more equipment. Catra finds out from Scorpia that she hasn't been keeping an eye on Entrapta like she was supposed to do.

Catra and Scorpia find Entrapta in Hordak's lab. Catra tries to apologize but Hordak just tells her to get out and continues to work with Entrapta. The purple haired princess is delighted to have Hordak as a lab partner.

Adora figures out what is going on, after frightening her friends with stories that Shadow Weaver used to tell her. The strange lights are holograms that are malfunctioning. They are generated by First Ones technology. The big spire in the middle of the village is their point of origin. Adora transforms into She-Ra and shuts the program down.

Thoughts

The more interesting part of this episode takes place in the Fright Zone. I didn't care much for the part that took place in Alwyn. I don't understand why Adora wasn't more interested in exploring the tech that they found in the Alwyn. She just shut it down. Boring.

Entrapta seems to love working with Hordak but how long will that last?

This episode felt like a bridge or an inbetweener. It is leading to more stuff down the road but by itself it wasn't very satisfying.
