Nola is painting a portrait of her friend Shemeka for a contest. They each have things on their mind. Shemeeks is thinking about getting her butt upgraded. She wants to make more money at the club where she works, Nola is still mulling over the assault. She hasn't told Jamie, Greer, and Mars about it yet but eventually she does.
Mars gives Nola some pepper spray which she uses on a seemingly innocent man who approaches her while she is putting up some posters. Greer tries to teaches Nola some self-defense moves. Jamie talks to her on the phone but doesn't see her in person.
Nola tries a number of remedies to help her get over way she's been feeling since the incident. One of the remedies is a session with Lulu, Mars' sister. She seems doubtful of all the remedies.
Mars freaks out on the way home when he sees something on the wall of a building.
Thoughts
What got Mars go upset? I think it must be one of Nola's posters but they don't show whatever it is that he reacted to at the end of the episode.
Still not crazy about this show. It exists. I'm not hating it but I don't love it either. It is beautifully shot.
