Bilko talks Doberman into running for mayor of Roseville when Mayor Burke refuses to build a servicemen's center in Roseville. Doberman isn't allowed to campaign for himself so Bilko organizes others to campaign for him. Mayor Burke doesn't know what to do. He hasn't had an opponent in the past 15 years. Mr. Donelly, the local party boss, tries to help Mayor Burke but in the end Doberman decides to bow out of the race for mayor.
Margaret Hamilton is in this episode. She plays the part of Miss Gloria Formby, one of the citizens of Roseville who is tired of the soldiers from Fort Baxter. This is the first of two episodes of the show in which she appeared. She plays a different character in her other appearance. Margaret Hamilton is probably best known for playing the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz (1939).
Harry Gresham plays the part of Mayor Burke. This is the second of four episodes in which he appeared. He played different characters in each of the episodes in which he appeared.
Humphrey Davis plays the part of Mr. Donelly. This is the second of two episodes of this show in which he appeared. He played a different character in his other appearance.
This was a fun episode/ It was a little different. Bilko had a scheme but it wasn't a scheme to trick people into handing over their money.
