starring Colin Gordon, Ann Lynn
directed by Vernon Sewell
80 minutes
Griff, Len, and Alec rob a bank. They lock the bank manager (Colin Gordon) and his assistant (Ann Lynn) in the vault after they have grabbed the cash. They expect that someone will probably rescue them before the air in the vault runs out. Len offers to anonymously notify the police and let them know where they can find the keys to the vault but then Len dies in a car accident.
Griff and Len argue about what to do but ultimately decided that they have to do something before the bank manager and his assistant run out of air.
I saw this movie as part of the 2024 edition of the Noir City DC film festival. This movie was the back half of a double feature. The front half was Elevator to the Gallows (1958).
I don't believe I have seen any of the actors who played the main characters in this movie in anything else. Two of them were in Doctor Who stories that I have not seen. Colin Gordon was in The Faceless Ones and Derren Nesbitt was in Marco Polo.
John Dearth played the part of Police Sargeant Hopkins. He had a number of lines but was only showed up here are there. I thought he looked familiar and it turns out that I have seen him in something before. He played Lupton in all six episodes of Doctor Who (1963) 11.05 aka Planet of the Spiders.
This was a fun watch. It isn't great but it was entertaining. I have mixed feelings about the ending.
