Police Commissioner Zarchary Billong investigates the murder of a police officer while his home life starts to unravel. Neither the investigation nor his home life are in great shape. The men he has working for him are rougher than necessary with the suspects. The corrupt and negligent actions of one of his men leads to the death of a top suspect. His relationship with Arthur, his oldest son, is rocky at best and comes apart until his son leaves home and goes to live with Adeline, Arthur's older sister, who similarly flew the coop when her father got to be too rough on her.
I saw this movie as part of the New African Film Festival at the AFI Silver Theater.
I wasn't charmed by the ending. It wrapped things up a too neatly for me but up to that point I thought it was very good.
