Better Call Saul 2.10

Klick

Past. Jimmy and Chuck are sitting by their mother's bedside. She is comatose. Jimmy wants to go get something to eat. Chuck insists on sticking around. Jimmy finally goes to get some food. Their mother wakes up, says Jimmy's name two times and then dies. She has a DNR in place so there is nothing the doctor can do. Jimmy returns with food. He asks Chuck what happened. He tells him but when Jimmy asks him if she said anything before she died Chuck tells his brother that she did not.

Present. Jimmy rushes into the copy center. He unplugs things and gets someone to call 911. Chuck is taken to the hospital. He doesn't want to get an EKG or a CAT scan. Chuck accuses Jimmy of bribing the clerk at the copy center. Ernie lies and says that Jimmy was there because he, Ernie, called and let him know. Chuck asks them both to leave. Jimmy asks Ernie why he lied to Chuck. Ernie says that Jimmy is his friend and he didn't like the way that Chuck was going after him.

Nailed

Mike uses the hose with the nails sticking out of them to stop the Regalo Helado truck 60 miles south of Albuquerque. He hog ties the driver but doesn't kill him. The driver doesn't get a look at him. Mike finds money in the tires. He takes it and leaves the driver tied up on the side of the road.

Chuck and Howard go to the hearing with the New Mexico licensing board for Mesa Verde. Chuck is under a great strain with all the electrical devices in the building. There is a problem with the filing. Chuck tries to talk the licensing board into granting a provisional permit. They won't. It will be six weeks before the licensing board will have time to meet with Mesa Verde again. Chuck is positive that Jimmy pulled a fast one on him.

Fifi

A truck labeled Regalo Helado crosses into the United States at the Santa Teresa, New Mexico Border Station. It passes inspection and the driver continues on. Miles down the road he stops alongside the highway to retrieve a hidden revolver. He delivers the truck to El Griego Guinador, the restaurant out of which the Salamancas run their operation. Mike sees the truck arrive at the restaurant and makes some notes.

Jimmy and Kim move forward with their plans to open a joint office. Kim delivers her resignation letter to Howard in person. He acts very gracious. She then meets with the folks from Mesa Verde to try and talk them into staying with her. She got a good feeling from the meeting but has yet to get anything in writing. She and Jimmy pick out an office.

Inflatable

1973. Young Jimmy McGill sees his father getting conned. He tries to convince his father that the man is a con artist. His father won't listen and gives the man money.

The present. Jimmy represents Mike when he goes to see the police. Jimmy tells the police that Mike has changed his testimony. The gun does not belong to Tuco Salamance. The attorneys representing the state try to find out what's really going on but Jimmy and Mike stick to the new story. They don't know where the gun came from but it is not Tuco's gun.

Jimmy wants to quit his job at Davis and Main but Omar points out the consequences of that course of action. It has been less than a year since he took the job. If he quits within the first year than he will have to repay the signing bonus they gave him.

Better Call Saul 2.06

Bali Ha'i

Jimmy can't sleep. He tries lots of things but he's restless. He goes back to the teensy little office in the back of the Salon. He falls asleep there. 

Jimmy leaves Kim a voice mail the next morning. He sings her a show tune, Bali Ha'i. She doesn't pick up but she sits there and listens to it with a smile on her face.

The owner of the spa is surprised to see Jimmy. He doesn't offer her much in the way of explanation.

Kim's relationship with Howard continues to be frosty as they work on the Mesa Verde matter.

Better Call Saul 2.05

Rebecca

Past. Chuck and Rebecca, his wife, are getting ready for a dinner guest, Jimmy. Chuck isn't so sure about it. Jimmy arrives and charms Rebecca with jokes about lawyers. He learned the jokes in the mail room at Hamlin Hamlin McGill, where he just started working the week before. Chuck doesn't care for the jokes. He tries desperately to give his wife the secret signal but she is laughing too hard at Jimmy's jokes to notice.

Present. Jimmy is working late at night at Davis and Main. He thinks he's alone but Erin, one of his colleagues, shows up out of nowhere. She has edited one of his briefs and wants to go over her suggestions. She is junior to him. Jimmy doesn't want to take her seriously so when she isn't looking he slips out of the office.

Gloves Off

Mike walks into his place in bad shape. One side of his face is bruised up. He's been hit hard.

Jimmy faces the music. He meets with the partners of Davis and Main. All three of them disapprove of his decision to air the commercial, without consulting with them first. They don't care about the results it produced. They care more about the firm's reputation than they do about the outcome of the Sandpiper case. Cliff warns Jimmy that he now has two strikes against him.

Howard gives Kim a hard time, in front of Chuck, for not warning them about the commercial. 

Better Call Saul 2.03

Amarillo

Jimmy uses some underhanded tactics to get more people to sign on to the class action case against Sandpiper. Chuck questions how Jimmy was able to sign 24 new clients at one nursing home when they only received one response by mail. Kim questions Jimmy's ethics, in a private conversation. She tells him that she stuck out her neck for him. Jimmy decides its time to try something different.

Mike learns from Stacey, his daughter-in-law, that she heard shots the last couple nights. He offers to stay there but she doesn't want him to. He stakes out the house that night and learns that what she probably heard was just the paper boy delivering papers. The next day Stacey calls Mike and shows him what she thinks is evidence of gun shots. Mike decides that Stacey and Kaylee need to move to a different neighborhood.

Cobbler

Howard tells Chuck about Jimmy's move to Davis & Main.

Jimmy and Kim get a little closer. She makes it clear that she wants them to get closer. 

Mike finds out about the theft of Bryce's valuable baseball cards. Mike intercepts him just as he is getting ready to go see the police about it. Mike promises to find Bryce's baseball cards. Bryce, in return, agrees to avoid the police and pay Mike for his services.

Better Call Saul 2.01

Switch

Gene (Jimmy's alias after Breaking Bad) is still working at Cinnabon in Omaha, NE. He shuts down the shop and takes the trash to the dumpster. He accidentally locks himself in to the room where the dumpster is located. The only way out is a second door which has an alarm that will sound if it is opened. He considers opening it but decides not to. Someone eventually lets Jimmy out. Scratched on the wall where Jimmy sat while he waited for someone to let him out is "SG was here".

The final moments of the end of the season 1 closer are replayed. Jimmy turns down the offer from Davis & Main. Kim doesn't understand she tries talking some sense into him but he won't listen.
