Sam wants his own bank account. This arises after he gets into an argument in his support group with another member of the group who teases him because he doesn't have one. Elsa thinks it is a bad idea. Doug supports it and takes Sam to the bank.
Doug grudgingly admits that having Elsa around helps. He is now on medication after the panic attack. He asks her to stay but he is only okay with it for practical reasons. He isn't ready for a reconciliation with her.
Casey accidentally invites her friends from school to her neighborhood pizzeria. Evan comes to the get together and feels very out of place. They get into a fight afterward and she ends up going home alone.
Sam gets talked into donating $700 to Arlo, a kid from school who is getting ready to throw a party. Arlo says all the right things to Sam, specifically that the party will be penguin focused. Sam mentions the event to Elsa who then calls Arlo's mother. It turns out that Arlo was planning the party for the weekend that his parents were going to be out of town. The next time Arlo sees Sam he smashes the screen on his phone.
The title of the episode is a reference to a cam that Sam has been watching. He is waiting for a penguin to hatch.
Julia and Paige were not in this episode. Zahid made a brief appearance in on scene.
This was a painful episode to watch. Hopefully the next episode will be a little more upbeat.
