Two Stories. One Episode.
Story One
El Paso
Jaime Reyes (Blue Beetle) looks for his friend Tye Longshadow. The last Jaime heard Tye was running away from home but Jaime can't find a trace of him. He asks Tye's mother but she doesn't know where he is and doesn't seem as concerned as some parents would be. Her boyfriend isn't very nice. The scarab wants Jaime to use lethal force to deal with Maurice but Jaime refuses.
Jaime talks to Tye's grandfather but he hasn't seen his grandson in a few weeks. The older man rambles on and doesn't say much that helps Jaime figure out what happened to his friend. He tries stalking Maurice. He's convinced that Maurice is hiding something. It turns out he is but it isn't Tye. Maurice is selling counterfeit games and DVDs.
Story Two
Bialya
Nightwing sends Miss Martian, Bumblebee, Batgirl, and Wonder Girl on a reconnaissance mission. They are looking for technology from Apokalips. Before their investigation gets very far they run into some familiar villains: Psimon, Mammoth, Shimmer, Devastation, and Icicle, Jr. The villains are kidnapping human children to hand over to aliens. Batgirl gets captured and thrown in with the kidnapped kids, all of whom, including Batgirl, are unconscious. Miss Martian has another show down with Psimon. Wonder Girl has some nice character moments.
The two stories are tied together at the very end when it is revealed that one of the kidnapped kids is Tye Longshadow.
