Nadia and Alan continue to try to figure out what is going on. She stabs him in the leg, unexpectedly, just to see if she feels it too. She doesn't. She talks him into reliving his last night or rather the first time he died. He says he can't recall how he died.
First, they go to see Beatrice. Nadia pretends to go use the bathroom and then watches while they talk. Nadia observes until she's had enough and then she buts in and gives Beatrice a piece of her mind. Beatrice kicks them out.
Nadia and Alan go to a bar next. They drink. Alan gets drunk. Nadia drink too but seems to have a higher tolerance or maybe just doesn't drink as much as Alan. He asks so she tells him where she was the first time she died. She tells him about having sex with Mike. They go back to her place and have sex. He falls asleep afterwards.
Nadia steals Alan's shoes. She goes to the park and gives them to Horse. They get high together. He tells her about starting the dark web and making lots of money and then throwing it all away. She goes to the bodega and realizes that she saw Alan their before she met him in the elevator. She asks Farran about Alan. They pledged the same fraternity together in college.
Nadia goes to see Ruth. Alan goes to the roof of his building and stands on the edge. He looks like he is ready to jump. Nadia chokes on a chicken bone and dies. Alan presumably jumped. She returns to the bathroom but this time there is no mirror.
Nadia goes to see Alan. He tells her that he jumped off the roof of his building. That's how he died the first time.
Thoughts
It is becoming clear that not everything is reset. Alan's fish has disappeared. The mirror is gone. Food is going bad, specifically fruit. There's a bowl of fruit in Beatrice's apartment that looks moldy. The bananas and mangoes at the bodega look overly ripe or moldy. No one says anything about it but I've got a feeling that if I go back and fast forward through old episodes the fruit will be in better shape than it was in this one.
