She-Ra and the Princesses of Power 1.09

No Princess Left Behind

Adora teams up with Perfuma, Mermista, Entrapta, and Seahawk to rescue Bow and Glimmer from the Fright Zone. Adora puts together a plan although it doesn't go exactly according to plan.

Entrapta gets very distracted by all the technology in the Fright Zone and wanders off on her own. She befriends a Horde robot, which she names Emily. She eventually regroups with the others.

Mermista swims through the sewers, much to her disgust, to open a gate into the Fright Zone.

Seahawk encounters Scorpia and pretends to be an inspector. Scorpia buys it until she recognizes him from the Princess Ball.

Adora and Perfuma fight their way into the area where prisoners are held and rescue Bow. They have to fight off a number of Horde soldiers including Lonnie, who used to be on Adora's team when she was still with the Horde.

Bow gets some help from Kyle, a lonely Horde soldier. It is Kyle who tells them where Glimmer is being held.

Adora goes after Glimmer once Bow has been rescued. She sends the others to find an escape craft. Adora turns herself in, thinking that Shadoweaver will release Glimmer, but she doesn't. Glimmer escapes on her own and knocks out Shadoweaver who was getting ready wipe Adora's memory of her time with the Rebellion.

Adora and Glimmer get some help from Catra escaping from the Fright Zone. Catra has a grudge against Shadoweaver who took all the credit for capturing Glimmer, Bow, and She-Ra's sword. Catra returns the sword to Adora but insists that this doesn't mean that she still likes her.

The princesses all escape from the Fright Zone, except Entrapta. She goes back for Emily and seems to be killed in an explosion.

Thoughts

There are so many little things going on in this episode. I've described some of them above. I love how the various characters interact throughout the course of the episode. The rescue of Bow felt a bit like the rescue of Princess Leia from Star Wars: A New Hope. The moment where Catra returns the sword to Adora got me a bit emotional, as did the reveal of Entrapa's fate to Adora. I've got a feeling that Entrapta isn't dead and that she will be back, with or without Emily.

This is by far the best episode to date.
