Socks Are Important

Ray takes Brittany and Maddy, Dirk's daughter, to see a movie. They go to a store after the movie. Ray is looking at socks. Brittany and Maddy walk over to look at some bikes after getting permission from Ray. Brittany is still near the bikes after a few minutes but Maddy is gone. Brittany doesn't know where she went.

Ray and Brittany look around a bit but can't find her. They get some help from one of the store's employees but they still can't find Maddy. They go to the security office and take a look at the security footage. They see the man who took her on the tape but his face is obscured.

Ray takes Brittany to her mother. He calls Freddy and sends him the picture, hoping he can help. He also sends the picture to Gary and asks for his help. Ray interrogates one man but comes up empty handed. He gets Freddy and they go to see Nasir, Davros' brother. Ray thinks that Nasir might have done it out of revenge. Ray fires off a few shots, scares everyone at Nasir's place but once again he comes away with nothing.

Gary gets a lead. He investigates and goes to see a guy named Pidgy who tells him about Wayne, a guy who tried to sell him kids. They go over to Wayne's place. There are a couple other people there playing video games. Gary plays it cool at first. but once he figures out where they must have kids stashed he gets violent. Pidgy helps him out.

Gary goes to the locked room in the basement and finds Maddy. She hasn't been harmed. He takes her and puts her in his car. He then leads Wayne and his fiends down to the room where Maddy was being kept and locks them in. He takes Maddy back to her mother and tells Ray where he can find Wayne.

Ray finds the place. He goes down to the basement. He has a short digging tool in his hand. He closes the door behind him. When he comes out he is covered in blood.

Thoughts

My wish did not come true. This episode was dark like the last one. It was not easy to watch. I had a bad feeling as soon as I saw the two girls walk off and that Ray was distracted. My heart sank as soon my fears were confirmed. I wasn't sure that they would find Maddy alive and unharmed. I wasn't even sure that Gary would find her in the basement.

There is music playing when Ray walks into the room in the basement. There is no sound to tell you what happened behind the closed door. I thought for a moment that the episode would end with the door still closed. It is pretty clear in my mind that Ray would have killed those three people either way but considering what he went through last episode he probably had a lot of pent up emotions going into the final scene in this episode.

There was a little bit of humor in this episode but not enough. I don't know what to hope for now.

This is a very well made show but it is not an easy watch at this point.
