Episode III

Dennis Rodman talks about his life growing up, his college basketball career, and his early NBA career when he was with the Detriot Pistons.

1986 - Doug Collins becomes the new head coach of the Bulls. He gets along very well with Jordan.

1989 - The Bulls play the Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs. The series goes to five games. All the sports journalists in Chicago and Cleveland picked the Cavs to win the series but Jordan proves them all wrong and the Bulls win the series.

The Bulls make it to the Eastern Conference finals in 1989. They play strong early in the conference finals but the Pistons are just too much for the Bulls. They know that Michael is the only serious threat that the Bulls have. They center all their attention on him and hit him hard every chance they get. The Pistons win the series and go on to win the NBA title in 1989.

1994 - Rodman leaves the Pistons, goes to the Spurs for a time but eventually joins the Bulls in 1995.

1998 - Jordan is constantly asked about what he's going to do once the season is over. Jordan comes to depend on Rodman quite a bit before Pippen finally returns to the team. It is at that point that Rodman decides he needs a break. He asks Coach Phil Jackson for some time off in the middle of the season. Jordan is opposed to it but Jackson agrees to it.
