Better Call Saul 3.07

Expenses

Jimmy bounces back and forth between community service and his advertisement business. The business isn't very successful. Even after he has people interested he has trouble keeping their interest.

Kim starts to have second thoughts about what they did to Chuck.

Mike makes a new friend, Annie, one of the women at the support group. She lost her husband several years before.

Jimmy and Kim go out for drinks. They look for people to scam. They talk about it. Jimmy seems ready to do it but Kim is not. She is still thinking about Chuck and lets Jimmy know.

Nacho turns to Wormald for help. He wants more capsules like the one that Hector dropped in the previous episode. He doesn't explicitly say what they are for. Wormald is frightened of Nacho and turns to Mike for help. Mike refuses at first but eventually he comes around and meets with Nacho. He offers Nacho some advice after Nacho explains the situation with his father and what Hector wants him to do.

Jimmy goes to the insurance company to try and get a partial refund for his malpractice insurance. The insurance agent can't help him in that regard. Jimmy breaks down and starts to cry. He tells her about Chuck's mental breakdown in the hearing. He acts like he didn't mean to tell about it but he starts smiling after he has left the office.

Thoughts

Chuck, Gus, and Hector were not in this episode.

This episode marks the final appearance of Wormald. I was a little surprised to see him return.

It looks like Nacho has his heart set on poisoning Hector. I didn't expect Mike to find out about Nacho's plan quite so soon. Will the plan be executed by the end of the season?

I'm guessing that this episode won't be Annie's last appearance on the show. I could check but I would rather not. I don't expect her to become a regular member of the cast.

Will Kim's guilt over what happened to Chuck push her to do something?

I expect that Chuck's insurance rates will go up before the end of the season. Jimmy did that on purpose. I wasn't sure what he was up to when he started crying but I wasn't buying that he was really distraught.

How long will Jimmy stick with the advertising racket? I think he will be reinstated as a lawyer early next season. I'm not sure that he will stick with advertising until that happens. Something has to give. Either business picks up or he is going to do something drastic.

This is a decent episode but not one of my favorites.
