Garndal sends Commander Hidoro in Saucer Beast Dago Dago to Earth to destroy the Space Science Center. Commander Hidoro uses the saucer beast to cause earthquakes. Professor Umon suspects that the Vegans are responsible for the earthquakes. He sends Kouji in Drill Spazer and Hikaru in Marine Spazer out to investigate.
Hikaru and Kouji find a mountain that splits open. Saucer Beast Dago Dago emerges from the mountain and attacks the two Spazers. Kouji and Hikaru radio back to the Space Science Center for help. Grendizer joins the fight but Duke Fleed gets a little in over his head and along with Kouji in Drill Spazer he gets trapped in the mountain.
Hikaru rescues her friends and they head back to the Space Science Center to regroup. Commander Hidoro causes more earthquakes. Hikaru pinpoints the point of origin of the earthquakes as Fomotomashi. Kouji and Hikaru head there to try and lure the saucer beast out. It comes out but it is too much for them.
Hikaru and Kouji call for Duke Fleed. Hikaru is knocked out of the fight by Commander Hidoro. Kouji and Duke Fleed work together in their spaceships and defeat Saucer Beast Dago Dago.
Thoughts
Goro and Danbei are also in this episode but they don't add much to it.
This episode was a little too simple for my tastes. There were no character moments or developments that interested me. There was no subtlety or nuance to this story. The Vegans send a warrior to destroy the Space Science Center. Grendizer and his allies defend the Space Science Center and kill the Vegan warrior. End of story.
